Animal Well-Being
Always provide fresh, cool water for your pets. Change the water regularly to ensure it doesn’t get too warm. Since pets drink more during Heat Season, check frequently to make sure their water hasn’t run out.
01
Limit your pet’s physical activity. Take them for walks early in the morning or late at night when temperatures are cooler.
02
Check their leash or chain regularly to ensure they aren’t stuck, unable to find shade, or hurting themselves.
03
Avoid walking your pets on hot asphalt or concrete. The heat from the ground can burn their paws.
04
Provide enough shaded areas where your pets can retreat from the sun.
05
Never leave pets in parked vehicles, even
for a short time.
